Custom Illuminated Product Displays for a Working Salon
For this Powder Springs salon, A+V Design Group created custom birch shelving to give the business a dedicated place to display its product line. The salon previously had no shelving in the display area, leaving an important retail need unmet. The new installation made room for products where clients could see them as they arrived and departed.
Design Brief
The shelves needed to support product presentation and sales while blending naturally into the existing interior. The goal was a useful, understated addition that looked as though it had always belonged in the salon.
Design Challenge
We crafted the shelves from high-quality birch, with lengths of approximately three and a half feet, and custom-fitted a lighting package to the display. The shelving and lighting were coordinated with the space’s existing aesthetic so that the products could take the focus. Installation had to fit around an active salon schedule. The only available window was the business’s regularly scheduled day off, requiring the work to be completed before clients returned the following day.
Results
We accelerated the installation schedule and worked into the evening to complete the shelving and lighting within that single closure day. The salon was able to resume operations the next day with its new product display in place. The finished installation added a dedicated retail function while preserving the character of the space and avoiding an additional day of closure.
